S.C. MARIA TRADING S.R.L. - About us

The slaughter house belonging to SC MARIA TRADING SRL is situated in Dragalina, Calarasi county, close to the Sun Highway, at km 105 on the route Bucharest - Constanta.

It is the biggest from Romania and one of the biggest from Europe, having an area of 44 000 square meters in which 15 000 square meters are built.

Unit activity profile is slaughtering of the cattles, sheeps, goats and horses; cutting, packaging and delivery of chilled or frozen meat; processing gorges, bladders and guts. It is equipped with modern tehnological lines according to international laws, which ensure high productivity and guarantee food safety for manufactured products.



Production capacities of this complex are :




Slaughtering:


  • 50 000 cattles/ year
  • 400 000 sheeps/ year




Cutting:


  • cattles: 25 tonnes/ shift
  • sheep: 16 tonnes/ shift




Deposits with thermal refrigeration system have capacities of 500 cattles, 9000 sheeps, 50 tonnes cut and packed products.



Capacity of the fast freezing
tunnels is 10 tonnes/ shift and storage of frozen products
around 750 tonnes.

Slaughter house owns many important authorizations and licenses like:

  • Veterinary Authorization for intra - Community trade for animal products no. 15883/ 08.12.2009, issued by National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority;
  • Manufacturing License which certifies the right to develop activities in the sphere of food production series A no. 44807/ 04.08.2009, issued by Ministry of Agriculture and Food;
  • Sanitary Authorization no. 30/ 21.07.2009, issued by Ministry of Public Health, through Public Health Authority from Calarasi county;
  • HALAL Certification no. 689/ 21.10.2009, issued by Muslim Worship Mufti from Romania;
  • Certificate no. 2380C/ 2009 which proves that organization has documented, implemented and has been maintaining a Quality Management System, fulfilling the standard requirements

  • Certificate no. 112H/ 2009 which proves that organization has documented, implemented and has been maintaining a Food Safety Management System, fulfilling the standard requirements
